I talked to the guy who will be installing mine today. He said he will try to mount them there, as long as it is flat enough. If not, the will go just in front of the door handles. I think in front of the door handles will make for a better flush mount since it is soft. But sound wise, they'd be better up higher.

First off, I have had great service and GREAT prices from www.ikesound.com You will be very leary when you see the low prices, but everything is brand new.

Second, the Feb/ March issue of Mobile Entertainment compares 6.5-inch component speakers - MBQuart, Diamond Audio, and Kicker. They ranked the Quarts #1, however, they did say if price was a big factor that the Diamonds were great, considering they were $120 cheaper (of course these were MSRP prices).

Placed my order today for the MBQuart DSD213 for $179.00.

Now let's see, I have to install a power tailgate lock, Alpine headunit, and now the components including amp and wiring. Guess I'll be busy this weekend

Q-Forms

I've got Q-Forms. I'm impressed with the soundstage, it's higher than you might think. That, and I didn't have to do any modifications directly to my truck to accomodate them. I know several people with the tweeter component flushed into the door or dash and I don't neccessarily hear a sound difference.

My PSD 216 were installed Friday. The tweeters were mounted just in front of the door handles. I actually like them there. Since the tweeters and covers are black, they blend into the door panels better mounted on the black foamy stuff. All you see is the "MB Quart" label on the covers.

I will be posting a message with pix in a day or so, when I get enough time to do it all.
