Question Polk DX-7's

I am interested in these speaker to go all the way around in my screw but crutchfield say that these will not fit in the rear doors. Has any screw owners installed these in the rear and how did they go?

The Screw holes are 6 x 8 and most 5 x 7s have tabs to mount them in 6 x 8 holes. There are several members with DX-7s, you will be fine.

Polk DX7

They won't fit, tried and failed. Fit fine in the front but no go in the rear, they won't seat completely and the door panel hits the midrange and tweeter. Installing DX6s' in the rear, they seat fine and have a quarter inch clearance on the door panel, this will allow an 1/8" thick plate for the speaker to mount to. You'll have to bust out the tools for that job tho.
