Jl10w3 ??
Jl10w3 ??
In regards to the standard cab(L) are the Thunderforms adequate for the 10W3's or should a custom enclosure be made?
I know many have chosen the Thunderform enclosure - were you satisfied or do you believe MORE performance can be achieved w/ a custom enclosure.
After doing some research I see the box can be bought for $218 or so..
How much do the 10w3's cost & where can they be ordered??

According to JL, the mounting depth on the sub is 5.8125 inches, and it requires 0.6 to 0.9 cu ft. of airspace per sub...
The thunderform, according to MTX has an enclosure volume of 1.8 cu ft.....or 0.9 per sub, just on the edge of what the W3 works with. This should allow the sub to play deeper, but with less accuracy.
The only problem I can foresee is a mounting depth problem. The Thunder 6000's, what the thunderform is designed for, have a mounting depth of 5.125 inches. So there seems to be a ~3/4" discrepancy there. Has anyone with a thunderform measured the allowed depth?????
If not, call MTX and ask....
