New Speakers installed.....

I plan on staying with the factory head unit, I replaced all 4 speakers with Pioneer TS-A6865's, 6 x 8- 3 ways. They screwed right in, no mods or adapters needed. I am going to listen for a while (and save money) before I decide on installing an amp or not.

I also, had all 4 doors completely dynamatted. Sounded great during my short drive home, increased bass, and overall volume, road noise seemed quieter as well.... The dynamat is kind of pricey, but I would recommend it so far.

Question

I'm interested in hearing how things go for you. I've pretty much decided on the Pioneer 6x8 3-ways too, but haven't yet made the purchase. I don't want to sink a lot of money into a stereo system, but would like a little better sound quality more than any increased volume. Thanks, and keep me posted!

I've got those same Pinoneers you're talking about in my truck. They are awsome! However, I also have an 800 watt amp tied to them along with a 15" sub and a 1600 watt amp to push it.

I turn heads all the time and many of the elderly people in my area give me dirty looks, but hey... If god wanted us to keep the volume down, he wouldnt have invented Subwoofers!
