Question Infinity Speakers

I am thinking about buying a set of Infinity 5752cf (5x7) speakers and would like the thoughts of some who are more up on speakers than I am.

Thanks,

I'M NOT MUCH ON SPEAKERS...

BUT THE INFINITY REFERENCE 5752CF 5"X7" SPEAKERS HAVE AN OVERSIZED POLY WOOFER WITH A RUBBER SURROUND. THIS WOULD GIVE IT BETTER BASS RESPONSE. AND IT HAS A HIGH SENSITIVITY (92 dB) RATING WHICH MEANS THAT IT WILL PLAY LOUDER THAN A SPEAKER WITH A LOWER SENSIIVITY RATING (89dB)ETC, WITH THE SAME INPUT POWER. PLUS IT HAS A ROTATABLE SILK DOME TWEETER FOR SMOOTH HIGHS, AND YOU CAN DIRECT THE SOUND WHERE YOU WANT IT. I JUST BOUGHT A SET OF THESE SPEAKERS, AND ARE PLANNING TO PUT THEM IN MY TRUCK WHEN I GET THE TIME. I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW THEY SOUND. HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!!!

I'm not in to all of that razzel dazzel stuff! It sounds nice, but it's just not my thing. Can I just buy different speakers to increase the bass and overall sound, and leave the factory unit in place?? You know, just swap out the old speakers??!

Anteater, just go out and buy some 5X7's and swap out your front door speakers. Most stereo places sell the wiring connectors so you don't even have to cut the factory speaker wires. As for sound quality....you get what you pay for. Buy cheap and it'll sound cheap (and probably won't last).

Va - I just installed the Infinity Kappas in this size (I think those are the ones you are talking about). Very good sound - much better than stock. Ran straight off factory HU. Speakers sound better the louder it gets. Still don't get any heavy bass, but I am used to driving around with a couple of 12's in the vehicle, so until I actually get a sub I probably won't be happy.

By the way - best deal I found on these speakers -

www.ikesound.com - $93.00 (free shipping)
