And before you ask, these arent for a F150 but for an 2006 Explorer. They fit into the rear panels without gaps. Painted Medium Wedgewood Blue.

The midwoofers I use have higher linear excursion capability than the majority of the subwoofers in this thread

They are also squeaky clean to 3k though.

Man I just might have to try my hand at fiberglassing to see if I can make some kick panels and try those out. Those are some beast drivers, I wish I woulda picked them up on intro pricing, or even black friday. How's the rebuild coming along? Your thread on DIYMA hasnt been updated in awhile ha

Ive heard that those Midwoofers are bad at cutting tint. Some sort of tint issue. Marc, is that correct?

Actually they are quite good at cutting tint if you dont add enough baffle. :o

amp no longer there. its back on the floor between the 2nd and 3rd row. long story but my 10 gauge speaker wire pulled out the connectors when i flipped my seat over so i soldered it back on and super glued it so it wont do it again. ill post a pic later.


im up grading to 2 15 power acoustik ***** and idk amp yet. but who knows. o and a custom box. made by me! but 1st big 3.

Here is the exs setup in her summer truck. Its changed a bit since those photos she got rid of the alpine amps and went with 3 JL Audio XD 600.1 for the subs and a 600.6 for the speakers. And then of course 3 12" JL Audio W6

i just put a JL 13" in a custom box under the rear seat of my SCREW with a JL 500w amp on the back wall behind the seat. ill post pics tonight when i get home. needed to subscribe so i can find this thread later. lol
