What exactly do you need this power source for ???????
I would just go straingt to the ingnition harness under the dash, plenty of 12v switched power leads there, and they can handle as much current draw as you'll need.

I'd be scared of using a fuse tap if your thinking about that. I did, and got a melted fusebox cover for my trouble. Everything I do now goes straight to the battery, with a dash light as a warning when it's left on
