Newer factory subs in a '07 F150

Now that you mention it, I remember when I put the kenwood in my 07, I had to play around with the mounting bracket to get it to sit flush. For some reason Ford decided to change the mounting depth on the 07-08 trucks, and the only way to get the factory radio to sit flush is use an 07-08 radio.

I'm guessing that is so. You were also right about the cd changer. And this unit the CD changer is giving an error and the line in won't pick up. So since the guy said it worked fine I'm going to shoot for getting my money back and finding a 07-08 deck. If I can't I'll find me a nice backup camera ready touch screen

Got my money back on the bad head unit and got a nice headunit out of a '08 f150 that has the nice chrome trim and the sub is all wired in. Then sold the original head unit for some cash so far everything is working well. The sub is more than enough for what I was looking for. Thanks for all the replies and help.
