07 screw without audiophile, can i wire sub to factory reciever?

have an 07 supercrew, with no audiophile system, i was thinking of putting alpine 6x8s in the doors, and a supercrew sound box with either an 8 or a 10 inch sub in it, and i would like to run a 5 channel amp, 4 to the doors, and the 5th to the sub obviously. can i do this with the stock head unit? im guessing it needs a preamp output, i dont know if the stock 6 disc mp3 head unit has one or not.

If this is common knowledge i apologize, i didnt find anything in my searches.

i want to use the stock head unit becasue if i replace it im going to go to an expensive 8 inch dvd/nav/bluetooth unit, and im just looking for better sound as of now.

any advice?

Hey.

Yep. since there are no RCA pre-outs, you;'ll need to use a LOC to convert speaker outputs to line levels, if that function isn't already in the chosen amp.

And for the sub you'll need a low-pass filter if one isn't already built into the amp for that channel.

Bear in mind that the OEM head unit has a suboptimal response curve ( fixed via a Cleansweep or equivalent ).
