Amp questions

Hey all, just wondering if this amp http://www.pioneerelectronics.ca/POC...eries/GM-D8601 would be good to power 2 of these http://www.pioneerelectronics.ca/POC...ount/TS-SWX251
Thanks in advance

That amp should match up okay, the amp does 500 rms at 2 ohms, and the subs together can be wired to a 2ohm load and according to the specs will take 100-400rms.

You could go with a smaller amp too that'll do 400rms at 2ohms and you'd be okay, and it'd save you a little money.

500 watts @ 2 ohms divide x 2 = 250 watts per speaker RMS. Voltage remains while current (watts) divides at the split.

I would say that is a good match. Amp will put out 250 watts rms to each sub & the nominal power handling of each sub is 200 watts. Perfect match in my book.
