Those preouts aren't going to do much without an amp to run them too. I thought you were trying to add bass though?

6x9 under the rear bench going to be a tight fit

yes I have the amp wiring already done going to add an amp and some alpine spr 6x9s I read they have really good bass it seems it would be cheaper and easier to just add the 6x9s and the amp under the bench.

my questions were if a hook up the rca jacks to the sub outputs on the deck
or use the rear speaker out puts on the deck? and if I use the rear outputs that would that effect the output of the hardwired speakers I have in the front and back doors . my thinking is no it should not. I could have 2 fronts 2 backs from the normal speaker wiring on the deck and 2 more set of speakers and a sub because I have 3 sets of rca jacks front back and sub. on the head unit. right?????????? and could I use the sub woofer out to control the third set of 6x9s ????

so should I use the sub pre outs or the rear speaker pre outs???????

for the 6x9s I will be putting under my seat with an amp.

for a total of 6 speakers 4 hooked to the normal wiring and 2 on pre-outs..

They may have good quality sound, but they don't have the frequency response that I think your looking for either. And your just gonna be back to where you started with overpowering high's, unless you cross them so you only hear the very small range of where bass would be that they're capable of.

You are making this much more complicated than it should be. Like stated above you are going to be in the same boat you are trying to get out of, except with even more high's. I just don't understand the logic being used here.

maybe i need a new thread / change my topic.

Im thinking I don't need a sub base speaker
Reason 1 100 bucks for a box
Reason 2 100 bucks for a amp
Reason 3 100 bucks for a speaker.

I don't want my 99 to rattler apart either just need a little more bass
in the reviews I read they say any way hers the review.

And I dont have a lot to spend on the project.

Expert Review:
One of the most disappointing things that can happen with a set of speakers is the onset of distortion at higher volumes. This is especially true with distortion-prone 6x9 speakers, as the oval design is hardly ideal for resisting such phenomenon. It's a surprise, then, that Alpine has managed to mostly iron out this undesirable characteristic in the SPR-69. This 2-way 6x9 speaker boasts the ability to play back music at extremely loud volumes, provided it is powered with at least 50-100 watts RMS. The silk dome tweeter allows higher-volume playback without introducing piercing highs.
The SPR-69 also boasts tons of bass output, which should have many
listeners postponing or even forgoing the purchase of a dedicated subwoofer[/U].

So 100 for 6x9's
100 for an amp for them
And then your gonna need to put them in something, unless your planning on letting them just float around under the rear seat... And if your trying to get rid of over powering high's your gonna basically have to only play them from their bottom range which iirc is like 60 up to like 100.. Just seems somewhat wasteful considering with them under the rear seat what bass they may have in that range most likely won't be heard that much up front.

I'd get something like that. Better than trying to solve the problem with what's originally the cause of the problem. And no it won't make your truck rattle. It's gonna take a lot more than 300 dollars worth of stuff to make your truck rattle apart.
