Help upgrading sound
Okay, I know there are a lot of guys with TONS of experience upgrading their f150's here. I've owned 4 f150's in my life and always checked this forum, but never jonied.
Well, I bought a new f150 Supercrew, and I'm curious as to how I would upgrade the Sound system to fit me better. Problem is, I don't like seeing any speaker boxes and such. I don't need anything to shake the car next to me, just clear sound with some base that hits more than my factory unit (sync, 4 inch screen, factory system)
I would want to keep the factory head unit, and I'd prefer to keep everything in the doors. I wouldn't mind adding some small subs, but it would have to be something I can put in the door or under my front seats / dash by feet, something. like a 6" i would guess. I need the room under my back seat to stay clear.
Any suggstion or places I can start looking for ideas?

So you don't want to change anything that's already there, you just want to add a very small sub for that extra low end? I think I'm following you. You could go with something like the sound ordinance b8pt, pretty much an all in one kinda deal that should fit under the front seats.
I wouldn't mind replacing fostory sepakers, just with sub I don't want to add anyting under rear seat. Plus, I don't need my sound system to move my vehicle down the road, just little extra bass more than the current system offers

Just go to http://www.crutchfield.com/S-NLV4RoKztJB/ they will hook you up with what you are after.
well yeah, they are but its a great place to start looking... Grab some toss them in Infinity speakers 6.5 with free speaker harness and plates and call it a day. For what he wants .
I was looking around crutchfield and foun these. 4 speakers and 1 of the sub's to start with. If i like the sub possibly add a second later. Was going to get the wiring harnes so I don't have to splice, then splice in the sub just using connectors? bad idea?

ok, bought the kicker speakers, and hideaway sub. placed the sub behind the rear seat. everything sounds better. Haven't messed with the sub crossover and gain much, mainly because I have no clue where to start. this will be plenty for me, but I want to set it up to the best of its ability. doesn't have quick the punch i was wanting, but it's got some boom to it. i'd like it if it hit a little harder then backed off, but this is WAY better than my factory setub.
Using the factory HU these kicker speakers, and this sub, any tips on tunning or tweaking the settings? seems there is still quite a bit of bass in the door speakers and its not matching the sub very well. I'd prefer most of the bass coming from that sub.
any help or just beginner guidance on setting up a sub would be great.

But yes, Crutchfield is overpriced on may items...
