Subwoofer Box Options
I just picked up a 2006 Ford Truck. It looks like an extended cab, and has 4 doors. The back doors really open up to a small space behind the seats. The doors are like 1/8 size doors. What is that cab style called?
I'd rather not put a sub behind the seats as I'm using what little space there is back there.
I'm looking for a box to hold a single 12". Most likely a Kicker CRX12. I have 2 of those in my Dodge RAM, and they do ok.
Is there any boxes that fit under the front seat?
Is there a Box that replaces the center seat?

I'm pretty sure they don't make either of those boxes and I doubt they'd be able to get enough airspace for a sub in either of those either. Rear seat area is really the only option for an off the shelf box. But of course you could always build a custom center console box for it.
Humm, It looks like a nice place to install a Sub in the center seat. In the "Dodge" world they sell a 12", 10" and 8" sub box that replaces the center seat. I would think there would be something like that for the Ford boys.
Other wise, I guess I'll just toss a universal sub box behind the seat. I'm not out the wake people up 3 blocks away. I just want full rich sound in my work truck.
Patman, Thanks for The info man. In the Dodge World, that would be an "Extended" cab. Guess Ford wanted the largest "Regular" Cab. I like it, nice to be able to open up the wee little doors and put stuff behind the seats. That's why I don't want to put a universal sub box back there.
Thanks guys

Nothing beats a box hand-built to the specifications to the woofer you want to run. There is quite the room behind the back seats of the regular cab 04-08 F150's, a lot of room to play back there.
