Sub/box help
Hello. I am fairly new to this website and i joined to learn more about the truck aspect of things. I have an 04 Lariat SCrew that I use as my daily. I am finally serious about putting a system in it. I am not looking to spend a whole lot of money, But i'm not trying to be super cheap and have a setup that's not reliable. I recently bought an Alpine MRP-M500 amp . i dont even know if thats a good amp in the first place, but i bought it to motivate me and get this ball rolling. Anyways, I'm not sure what box to use or what subs. I would like to run 2 Alpine 10's under the back seat. I just dont want to buy the wrong subs as I have blown quite a few subs and amps so i think ive figured out im not good at this whole audio thing. Thank you ahead of time and if this post is hard to follow, sorry its 5:00am for me and i can't sleep. haha

Why alpine ten's? There's a lot of other subs out there of the same quality with not as steep of a price tag.
For subs to match up to that amp you'll want either two dual 2ohm subs, or two single 4ohm subs, that way they can be wired to a final ohm load of 2 to maximize that amps power output.
Are you going to build the box or buy a prefab? If you buy prefab, you'll have to match the sub airspace specs to that of the box, so take what the box has and subtract the sub displacement. Never go with a box that has too much air for the subs. If the box is a little small, like .1-.2cf off or so, you can stuff the box with polyfill to make up some of the needed airspace. If you build your own box it's easier to find more sub options because you can build it to the specs it needs.

I dont know why 2 alpine 10's to be honest. i figured they were a good mid-level brand. just wanted to match up the amp/sub brands. but i dont mind kickers or anything like that after thinking about it. hell i've seen some JL stuff thats not to expensive but i just dont know the ohms or anything like that that are "safe" to match with the amp
It looks great, I have black leather interior though and would like the box to match. I appreciate the offer though
My buddy just bought this for his truck and it sounds pretty amazing!
