2011 SCrew Straight Speaker Swap
2011 SCrew Straight Speaker Swap
Overall I'm happy with the head unit (Non-Sony) in my '11 FX2. I just want to swap out the factory speakers.
Is there a standard speaker config that people here have been happy with? Ideally, I'd like to go with the biggest speakers that will fit into the stock openings. I'd also like to look at components up front so that I can improve the imaging a little. I've seen A-Pillar trims that already have tweeter holes cut. Mine doesn't have them. Can somebody point me towards the Tasca numbers for those?
Usually, I'm not a guy who requests to be spoon-fed, but time's tight right now for me and I'd really like to get this project underway.
Thanks in advance.

hey there,
any 5x7, or 6x8 should fit
look for a high spl/ sensitivity speaker rating when using stock HU output.
never seen those a pillar speakers, sounds like a good idea. my thing with that is if you just bought random tweeters that werent matched to the door speakers, chances are that they would over power w/ highs. componet sets are nice as they have built in cross overs but would require an external amp
a subwoofer under the rear seat will allow the other speakers to play louder as they would not need to be reproducing the power hungry, distortion causing bass frequencies.
