Sub box built/questions
Sub box built/questions
Hey yall. I just finished building a sub box for my 2011 Super crew and I have a couple of questions.
-What are the best settings for the amp for the best bass? (Rockford Prime R500) Specifically the gain and frequency.
-As far as the break in period for the subs (Infinity 860W), would a week of running them at about 25% be good?
I know these question are kind of newbie stuff, but that is what I am lol.
Tried to upload a pic of the box but I am not sure how...any ways, there are more in my profile.

I usually set the frequency(LPF) between 70-80Hz. This keeps the subs from playing mid bass.
The gain setting is really dependent on what your using for a source. Stock or aftermarket head unit? There are a few guides around the net for setting amp gain.

I have never "broken in" a sub and have never had any problems. If you want to be safe, give them a few hours of play before going to full volume. Subs are most commonly damaged by bass boost.
