Will this amp power my sub?
Will this amp power my sub?
I just bought a Merlon mewo m7 12" sub. Great brand I have two tens in my screw and they sound amazing.
The sub is a dual 2 ohm and its 1200 rms 5000 peak watts.
The amp is a pro acoustic PRAM3500D and its got 2ohm 600 Watts rms and a 3500 watt peak.
Im trying to figure out if this amp is big enought to power the sub. If any more info is needed let me know
Thank you!

The amp manufacture claims that amp makes 800 watts rms @ 1 ohm. It might not be enough depending on how much output your looking for.
Because your subwoofer is a dual 2 ohm, your best bet would be wiring it for a 1 ohm load. Then look for an amp that is rated 1200 watts rms or higher @ 1 ohm.

I used to have a JBL 1200.1 amp. This amp was nasty. My buddy also had one that drove a power acoustic **** 12" speaker with no problem. that sub was rated at 1200rms. If you can find one that is what I would go with.
