i was just wondering were would be a good place to install tweeters in my 2011 f150xlt supercab. i dont really want to cut out the door panel

 

Anywhere you decide to mount them your going to have to cut holes for them, unless you decide to make custom pods to mount them on the dash.

 

I put my tweeters in the A-pillars on the door. Just buy a 1 3/4in hole saw and measure everything twice before you cut. It looks so much better flush mounted.

 

if you dont wanna cut buy some tweeters that have a pod that will hold them at an angle and place them on the dash for best sound stage

 

put mine on doors.......

 

I made separate "pods" for mine. Wanting the most accurate "on-axis" response.

Ditto, exactly where I put mine. Definately brings up the sound stage better than down by the original door mount.

 

You can always invest in the factory A-pillars.



Here's how the factory tweets are mounted along with the part number tag for the pillar. You can get them with or without the factory tweeter. Last ones I did the tweeter fit perfectly into hole and I simply held it in with a piece of back strapping screwed down by the mounting screws.
