You have to put the bottom of the seat up then take the headrest off. Then put your hand down the back of the seat where the head rest would have been blocking entry. you will feel a little latch. you have to just pull up on the outside of it and it will release. Then pull the lever on the bottom of the seat and the back of the seat goes forward as the bottom goes down. You have to do this on both sides.
