Two 8's or one 10
^^^Really depends on the particular drivers being used. I love ported boxes tuned low for Home Theater and that crazy subsonic impact, but for mobile use I have found sealed to be my preference. When ported, you can tune low for brutal low frequency extension with output, but the woofer struggles with higher frequency subbass. Or tune higher and lose extension. IMO a driver being used ported really has to be a very well built driver. Good soft parts and distortion reducing features like better motor technology and shorting rings. Porting everyday mainstream drivers just sounds like *** most of the time. However, my favorite substage to date was a pair of ported JBL w15GTi. played clean 15-80 at reference levels, and did 156 in the TL.
For under the seat, I'd stick with a pair of slim 12s sealed for best blend of output and SQ.

you have room!
What year truck do you have ironhead498?
I've got a 2006 Screw.
I ended up building a box for two 8's. It ended up right at 1cuft.
The subs were some older mtx's that my brother-in-law had and it doesn't sound bad. I'm curently looking to buy some new subs for it though cause I think the subs are a little worn out.
It sounds realy good for rock, but doesn't hit the low notes real well if you listen to rap. A ported box would probably help there but I didn't have enough room for that kind of box.
