Hey John,

That would be a big improvement over what you have now. Those speakers, a new HU, amp and sub and you'd have a very good sounding system.

Crutchfield is a great resource. I've bought from them many times and they have the best customer service.

Sometimes they can be overpriced though so check around.

Wiring amps are not hard at all. Just a little wiring required.

As far as matching a system it's not hard either. If you are going to run the speakers of the HU then go with a basic low power sub so not to overpower. 200 watts rms would be plenty. I'd probably recommend getting a 4 channel amp though. Run the front speakers and sub off the amp and the rear off the HU.

You may not even miss them though once you get new speakers.
Okay thanks man.. I gotta figure out which set I want and get them installed

The ones I was looking at are 3 way... Whats the big difference in 2 and 3 way?

I'm running my stock Audiophile HU and seems like most of the threads I am reading say to use something with at least 90 dB at 1 watt

The Kenwoods only have 87 and the Pioneer are 90.

Any opinion's on these two..

Well I ended up purchasing them lastnight... Ended up going with the Kenwood KFC-C6893PS. Got them for $41 per on Amazon. Should be here Tuesday and the Metra's should be here Wed.

Thanks for your help guys.
