stereo installation
I just purchased new 5"x7" speakers for my 1997 F150 Exteneded Cab. First of all, how do you remove the rear driver's side door panel if there is no fourth door? I had no problem removing the other three panels, but I just can't figure it out. I even removed my backseat to get better access to the panel and I still couldn't figure it out. Any help would be much appreciated. The speakers I purchased were two pair of Cerwin-Vega HED 1683 speakers. I also purchased a Sony Xplod ES CDX-M670 HU. That HU puts out three sets of 5.5 volts. I was wondering if 5.5 volts was enough for the speakers alone and if the stock speaker wiring would need to be upgraded. Thanx for any help.
I have a cut sheet that shows you how to do it. If you want it e-mail me at jscalise@vt.edu and I will send it to you.

I've had very good luck with Mobile ES, and no offense but at this point I'd have a pro at least do $50 in labor / showing you stuff. You'll get your wiring done RIGHT (nothing's more annoying than a lose wire 10K miles later and your radio cuts out), you'll see what your future upgrade options are, and you'll have some idea of how the thing works if it -does- need attention later.
I was an aircraft mechanic for 6 years, and I know electronics and wiring very well. I still had mine professionally installed.
