removable subs and tweeter project
removable subs and tweeter project
Before all of you downers say anything just know that i am stubborn.
I thought of the idea that maybe i could build a custom box setup for some subs and tweets and slide that inside a toolbox that is built to go in the bed of the truck. I would prob use 1x2 boards to build the box. the dimensions of the box are:
Length 69.75 inches
Width 20 inches
Height 13.188 inches
I am just curious what size subs and tweets i should get and how challenging the steps would be to have a hole drilled out from behind the back seat of the cab and through the front wall of the bed. i also want to know if there is such a thing as a "connector" or "plug" that could be used to unplug the system when not wanted or needed and be able to pull the toolbox completely out of the bed. I am aware that i will have to find a way to seal the hole in the cab if i do not want water coming in. any help appreciated. will post pics of the box. the truck is a 2002 xlt supercrew 4.6 2wd.

go through the vent on the back of the cab.

depending on how many wires are going into the box you could get a male/female 4way trailer plug, that would have a water resistant cover for the cab side when not in use
