CDT Audio Speakers Now in
I just installed the CDT Audio HD52's in my Xcab 01 F150 in the front doors. Driving off the factory HU, all I can say is wow, these things are crystal clear. Little pain getting them in as they only come round. I went for the 5-1/4" rather than the 6.5" and glad I did. I did not want to get into cutting the door, and thick adapter plates are not possible with the HD52 as the tweeter is extended from the front of the speaker and protrudes 1-5/8", although with my 1/8" thick metal adapter plate everything just fit. If you really want the 6" then I would recommend their components. The sound quality is really crystal clear. I know these are not as well known as Polk or Quart, but I have heard them and these are significantly better. YOu hear the fingers move down the guitar strings, you hear the singer draw in her breathe between pauses. They weren't the cheapest but I am glad I went for them. If anyone wants further info on installation or where I bought mine, email me at ghaizlip@hotmail.com.
I agree wholeheartedly....the CDT's are absolutely the best buy on the market....even over the Diamond stuff that has received much press lately (which I like too by the way). I think my Dynaudio's sound better but they retail for 3x as much so it's a no brainer. My boss just installed the CDT's in his competition Viper and they are astonishing. If I had it to do over again, I'd have gone with CDT even though I'm not a dealer and had money to spare. You made an excellent choice.

Yes, these are the value performance speakers of the year. If anyone is interested let me know as I can tell you how to get them at a good price. I just got their 10" woofer in my own custom box and will be installing that soon on a ARC amp. I am curious to see if the amp makes a difference in the sound of the speakers.
