Jl audio Tw5 will it beat like a stick??

Im looking into putting a sub in my truck but i have a 2004 f150 FX4 supercab and limited on space lol...everyones been tellin me about this tw5.. one audio shop told me to put one rockford P3 shallow with a P300.1 amp but i said thats not going to be loud enough went to a different shop and they're all about JL and they told me 1 tw5 with a HD 750/1 will hit hard but i have a hard time seeing that.. my buddy has a tacoma with 2 JBL 10s with a JL slash 1000/1 V2 and his hits pretty good for for right now until they blow up lol... if hits as hard as his id be happy... also i will have the new kenwood ddx318... i just want to know if its going to be loud enough beacuse i can go a cheaper route and take my 40 seat out in the back and have them build me a box to sit in their and run a w6 or a P3 with a T500

I have a Tw5 and its not that loud or hard hitting. Im glad I got this sub in a trade. If you want super loud bass get a box built that fits with the seat up and when you need more room take it out. There are better subs for the money than JL but if you are looking to buy from a local shop its not a bad choice. My buddy has a 13W6v2 in his truck in a ported box and it is loud.

You can fit 2 slim 12s under the backseat which will be plenty and still look stealth and be able to fit people back there. Look at the Stereo Integrity BM or the Alpine Type R shallow. I have a 2004 like you with dual BMs.

I can attest firsthand the great and wise mSaLL150 doth not deceipt in regards to the SI BM.

The biggest problem is trying to procure them on the open market.

this shop was telling me they have to unbolt my backseat like the backpart and put the sub back their beacuse theirs not enough room under the seat which i thought their was.. say if i was to take out the little 40 seat in the back would the box be big enough and have enough air space to run a full size sub like a JL W6.. im kinda on a buget or i would put 2 tw5s with 2 750/1.. i just cant see spending that much for a system if its not going to be decently loud when i could probaly take that little seat out with a W6 for around the same money and be twice as loud u know.. I kinda want to go with JL beacuse this shop is giving me really good deals beacuse my cuzin is best friends with the guy so im getting everything for cost.. the other shop is mostly rockford and JL and it would be retarted the money i would spend their

I say go with the W6 then. You should be happy with that, can you get the 13 inch version? The Tw5 is decent but it just cant play like a W6. But I have a Tw5 and honestly i think it would take two to match the W6 12 or 13 inch.

Check this out

page 2 will give you an idea of how big the box needs to be.

Run away from that shop. If you want 12s do the Alpine type R slims. If you can't find a premade box have a knowledgable box Builder make one.
