Recomendations and feedback

So i took out my two 12's to install my body lift a few weeks ago and haven't really had the urge to put them back in. I like listening to just the mids and highs but need something to just fill in that little bit of low end bass that I'm missing. I love finally having a back seat again so whatever i buy needs to be able to fit under it. So i've been looking a few powered subs and i need some recomendations on what to get.

1: Infinity Basslink
2: Sound ordnance B-8pt
3: Kenwood KSC-SW10
4: MTX Thunderform dual 8" enclosure

Save your money on a powered subwoofer and build an under the seat enclosure. Not gonna get that low end of 2 12s from a powered subwoofer

No, I'm not looking for the sound of two 12's, if so I would just keep what I have. Just looking for a little extra bass.

Oh okay, I just read that you loved having a back seat and figured that's the reason you weren't putting your 12s back in. Well if you already have an amp that works fine, I would still suggest building a box and picking up some budget 8s. Should be able to come out even or ahead if you sell the 12s

Yeah, if my 12's didn't require such a deep mounting depth i would get a box from supercrewsound and just throw them in it, but their boxes aren't deep enough. Also if i was to buy or build an actual sub box i would do a single 10" instead of two 8's, I just threw in the mtx thunderform as a possibility since it would be an easy fitment and less hassle. Plus i saw one on ebay for $75 which would definetly make the choice that much easier.

Oh I was looking at the link first like that came up and saw $700
I'd still recommend using your amp and a regular sub

The mtx was $700? Yeah that's a little overpriced, must of been loaded and with a built in amp. Just the enclosure itself runs about $350. Which is quite insane if you ask me. Might end up just trying to sell my 12's and get a scs box with a good shallow 10".

Ya it was loaded with 2 powered 8s. But if your feeling powered, I've heard the Infinity Basslink and was decently impressed with it. Now I went in with the expectations of shoddy midbass but I was proved wrong. Nothing like an actual 10" but still good enough to fill the mid-lows... not too low tho

Yeah i've heard that the basslink is one of the best powered subs out there and i see a lot of slightly used ones online going for about $100. I would just have to hear one in person before deciding. Like i said before I'm not looking for teeth rattling bass, i've had a full system in my truck since i started driving about five years ago and i'm just tired of it. I want to be able to actually hear my music for once. haha If the basslink sounds like a small 10 in a sealed box then i would be more than pleased because i don't want much more than that.

If you want to hear your music, go for a more sq orientated sub. Subs like the SI BM MKIII blend well with your music if you have your frequencies set up correctly. Oh and I have a 10" in a small box (supercrewsound) right now and it isn't the best at reproducing musical notes but its definitely not overbearing. That's why I'm going to either 2 12s sealed or 3 (or 4) 8s ported

If you can find one the SI BM MKIII it is a very good recommendation. It uses an absurdly small box, .5 ^3.

Another really good choice is a Image Dynamics ID10 in a supercrew box.

I have had both and the ID10 is really nice and not overbearing. I now have two MKIII and those things just plain rock.

Build you own. I built a box for a single 10 and it will not blow you away but it fills the low end very nice. The 97s and 98s do not have much room at all under the seats, and prebuilt boxes like the supercrewsound one require the 2in seat lift. I did not feel like raising it 2 inches costing like $125 so I did the washer seat lift. I got it up almost 1 inch and the box fits, looks, and sounds great

I have no problem adding a 2" seat lift, it's only an extra $10 or $15 if you buy their box. Plus it gives me a bigger selection of subs to choose from.

Really only $15. I know when I looked in the past it was $125. That is a really great deal at $15

Yeah i think if you buy just a seat lift elsewhere it is about that much, but supercrew sound includes it with their boxes for like an extra $15.
