Question for sub experts!

I am currently running two JL Audio 8w1's in my truck with a JL Slash 250/1 amp, and I want to add more bass. I was thinking about adding a JL 8w3 with its own JL Slash 250/1. Will this work or will the different subs sound bad?

The setup would be two JL 8w1's with a 250/1 amp, and one JL 8w3 with an identical 250/1 amp. Each sub would have its own chamber in a custom box built to JL's specs. The amp's are 250x1 RMS @ 4ohm's.

If this wont work my other idea was to add two more JL 8w1's for a total of four, but the needed airspace will be hard to achieve with the limited space.

Basically I already have two 250/1 amps I can use. They are both the same but one is a little older. The older one has preamp outputs but the newer one does not. Not sure if this will make a difference either, but they have the exact same specs otherwise.

EDIT: Never mind traded all of my stuff for a JL 500/1 and a JL Audio 13TW5-3. Should have time to put it in next weekend cant wait!
