Using Molex...couple of questions

OK so I am not even going to try and drill or bypass my molex. I have a couple of questions

1) I am putting int Infinity Kappa 6030cs components in the front doors, powered by two channels from a Rockford Fosgate power T400 100x4 RMS amp. Is the 18ga wire/molex enough to handle this power?

2) what is the best place to tap into the factory wiring? The wiring by the door just seems like a giant maze and I was thinking tapping in behind the dash where the wiring meets the factory receiver (replacing with Kenwood DNX 6160).

3) Not really related but since I installed the tweater (and faced it up towards me) the factory grill wont snap on. What have you all done to get around this? Drill out a hole for the tweet? 3rd party grills?

Thanks

Go to, http://www.bcae1.com/, on module 16 there is table that can help you figure it out for your needs. 100W for each component set, 18AWG will handle it no problem. Tap into them behind the radio. Grab yourself a aftermarket harness adaptor so you don't have to cut into factory wirirng.

+1 Depending on the year of your truck (mine is a 2010) I used the Metra bt-2250 harness and was able to tap right into the factory wiring without cutting anything. I also put spade terminals on my speaker connections so I can change my speaker connections and amp differnet speakers if I need too.
I used the chassis ground from the harness and spliced in a "T" to ground my line out converter so I don't get noise in the system. I am pushing 125W from a Kappa Four amp through the 18 gauge wire for over 2 months without a problem. I would like to go through and run 16 gauge speaker wire to each of my speakers but I doubt most people would notice a difference. By the way those Kappa components scream! You will really like them at high volumes. I can actually hear the snare or rim shots during drum solos, something you would never hear with the stock speakers. I mounted my crossovers in the map pocket of each door just behind the cup holder. It will allow you to adjust the tweeter without going behind the rear seat.
