Boss Audio amped subs any good?

Does anyone have any knowledge of these Boss Audio slim amped enclosures?

Reviews I've read are mostly really bad.

If I was gonna try something like this, it would be the one Crutchfield sells under their Sound Ordnance lagel. This one:

If you want shallows, low budget, stick with a decent company. Do like some pioneers or something like that. Dont buy really cheap walmart flea market type stuff.

They're right....

They're right....Boss is no good. However look at this item:

The Boss unit is a knockoff of this and the Kenwood unit. I am planning on purchasing this for myself. It has excellent reviews and plus Crutchfield carries it. They are very selective in what products they choose to sell and stand behind everything to the fullest.
