I got a 07 f150 Harley Davidson, its got a bone stock sound system, lately my subwoofer has been cutting in and out, its very annoying since i like to listen to very bass heavy music. I took it to the dealership and they had the truck for 10 days and said that with in those ten days the stereo was operating at 100% and could not find the problem. So i left the dealer ship (pissed off), and headed to work on my way to work within 15mins of leaving the dealer the sub stopped.. can someone help me out.

 

Take it out of the factory enclousure and inspect the sub. Check the spiders and all connections. It might be something thats only happening when you bang on it hard.

 

Sounds like a wiring problem or the amp cutting out. If it were the sub it would not function properly at all.

 

Yeah inspect the factory sub yourself or take it to an audio shop and I doubt they would charge you much to diagnose the problem.

In my experience it could be 1 of 3 things:
Power supply issue
Music signal issue
or partially blown subwoofer
