buy or build sub box?

buy or build sub box?

What should i do guys? looking for the best cheapest route. How much did yall spend if yall built them? Also what subs should i get for my truck?

If you have the skill, absolutely build one for 2 reasons. First, its way cheaper. And second, you can create ideal space for your subwoofer to perform optimally.

yup he said it.

if you want a custom one and have them time and skills its the best results to build it yourself. sheets of 3/4" MDF run about 25 bucks round here

Atrend b-series for 04-08 S-Cab/Crew, $55 shipped, Amazon.

Not quite as cheap as building one, but less of a hassle and I didn't have to tools to do it anyway. Works great stuffed with an Image Dynamics ID10

I love my FoxBox! It also looks great and sounds very nice clean, I bought the FoxBox 2 10" subs.

How will i know how much space to put in for everything? and what type of wood do i use?

With that right there, just buy one. You will save yourself a lot of hassle. Sometimes time vs effort is more expensive then the product youd buy.

not really, just want to make sure i build it right. I love building and doing stuff for my truck.

the airspace you need will be determined by the sub or subs you want to put in it. MDF is one of the best materials to use for it
