Larger then 6.5in?

Without having to cut metal, 3/4 mdf spacer, whats the largest diameter speaker can we fit in our doors?

Has anyone measured the depth we have available?
05-08 body style

Id like to add more midbass but dont really want to add kick panels.

Have you done any door treatments yet? Sound deadener, MLV? 6.5s can provide plenty of midbass output if the doors are done up well.

Hell, the Rainbow 5.25s I had were impressive.

Yeah ive deadened every hole thats not needed for door panel installation and behind the driver. Im not running a great set, ppi365cs. Sound good but not really commanding. Im just screwing around with ideas.
Just got in my spacers so i can try to realign one of my idq12's then i get to chase down new rattles they are causing. Im going to have to try and do something with the rear vents. They make too much noise going down the road and blow out every time the bass hits. I was standing outside my truck and heard rattling and was wtf.

Yeah my trucks the same way with the vents. How much power do you have going to the PPIs? I've read that they're power hungry.

Go active, get your mids pure power from each amplifier channel instead of running it through passive crossovers. I have 240 watts to each mid off a bridged 4 channel and the midbass is huge. I have 7" mids in the doors. Any bigger and you will need to cut metal.

Im wanting to as soon as i can find an arc 4 channel to match the sub amp i have. It will probably have to wait for funds to reload after the 2 idq12's and sub amp. I should sell my small memphis amps, and the alpine 2 channel i have. Im partial to the memphis 500d, it was my first amp we've been through alot in 10 yrs lol
