Best way to install one 10w7...

I have been thinking lately about building a box for a single 10w7. I don't want to lose my back seat, but I was considering a box that sat behind the center console and divided the rear seat in half. Here is my current configuration, which I like because it is stealthy, but I would rather have a little more boom.

Is this possible to do, and what size would the box need to be?

I don't know if you have the same type of center console as I do, but on my 03 F150 it had a really deep center console that I knew would only collect junk. So I hollowed it out and built a fiberglass enclosure to house my JL 10W7 facing downward and put the original console skin around it. then made some custom brackets to fasten the console to the floor and also raise it up enough to allow sound to exit and to keep the cone from hitting the sheet metal. I made the box to where a portion of the storage area still remained and it was completely stealth.

Might want to think about that option.

Good Luck

Thanks, I may do that. I currently have a pistol safe installd in the bottom of my console, so I would have to remove that.

I have 2 12's behind my center console . Do you want it where the Ford sign is on the floor mat?
