Exclamation Speaker wireing

Im getting ready to put in some new speakers that i have gotten for christmas. But i have a few questions first.

Is there any kind of wiring harness that I am going to need to not have to cut any wires? I want to be able to leave the factory wiring/plug in it.

I have a 2001 F150 Supercrew.

The one that they gave me at Bestbuy was a 72-5612.
But it doesnt list my truck on it. It only lists a 97-99. I have an 01. I told the salesman that, and he said it was all the same plug.

What should I trust? The package or the Bestbuy salesman?

I pulled my door pannel yesterday, and go figure; He gave me the wrong plug.
I went back today, talked to the same guy, but this time i took a speaker in with me. He looked at me like i was stupid and said that they don't make an adapter for that speaker. Thats when I asked for an installer. It took the installer 10 mins to get out on the floor. But I told him my problem, and what I needed. He left, wasn't gone for more than a min. He came back with 1 package of the adapers. he said that he just used the other package this morning. So i have to wait till wednesday or friday for their truck to come in.

glad you got it figured out.

I just had to get the speaker harness for my truck, I found the best/cheapest way to do it is go to the metra harness website. They have a tool that tells you the exact part number you need.

Once you get that number, go either on Amazon or EBAY and you can get these things for $5 a pair.
