Need help w/ building a box

I am building a speaker box for two 10" round solobarics and have a quick question. I'm using 3/4 mdf, wood glue, and silicone or liquid nails to seal it, but my question is what type/size of nails do I use to help hold it together? I've always used screws, but I got a new nail gun and am wanting to try that out! It seems it would be faster and easier than using screws. Thanks

Last box I built I used about 150 trim nails. Box sealed and sounded fine.

I use a brad nailer... usually 1 1/2" 18ga. They're just there to hold the box together while the glue hardens.

Same drywall screws to hold it together, i used at least 2 per side of each panel then used whatever sealent on the inside and outside to make sure all the cracks are sealed.
If you try to use just woodglue im not sure that will hold the pressure of the subs.

Nails with a constant pounding from the inside i would think would come out.

I build furniture as a hobby.

As stated above, the nails or screws are just there to hold it together until the glue dries. If you have bar or pipe clamps, you don't even need the nails or screws. Just think about wood table tops - they are edge glued without nails or screws.

Use a good wood glue (Titebond - blue or green as the inside of your truck will have high heat and humidity). Make sure you spread it evenly on the edges and lightly coat both sides (acid brushes work great and they're cheap and disposable). Wipe off any excess glue with a damp (not dripping) rag.

The MDF will fail long before the glue joint.
