i have a 07 f150 scab with no carpet, stock everything except the front door speakers. now my question is should i mount my subs under the seat or behind the seats. ive seen a install on here withe the subs behind the seats. but i have a jl 1000 and a kenwood excelon 4ch amp for highs. im not tryin to be heard 17 blocks away, but when i decide to get **** heavy, i wanna be able to crank it. and i will change the head unit like next week.........

i dont even know where to start on this one, but how many blocks of bass do you want?
lol, well im a sq guy, not really tryna be heard like these other dummies around here im in new orleans, they put like 2 horns in the front grille and like 3 in the back, with like 3 15's. i want it to appear stock still, thats why im askin this. i also kno if i get the woofers behind that can be expensive
Get some sound deadening, err get LOTS of sound deadening, and cover the every square inch of the floor under the vinyl. Yes you will need to pull the seats but it's not that hard to do. You may want to use 2 layers of it plus put some Great Stuff expanding foam in the door pillars. You'll notice a drastic improvement in the quietness of the ride. With that you'll get a bigger boost in both volume and sound quality.
If you have the room behind the back seats I would mount the subs back there. But I don't think you do. I know the regular cabs have plenty of room to do this. I'd just plan on putting a standard box for dual 10/12's under the seat. Plenty of threads already here on the front page talking about this.

Now, I'm usin my blkberry and can't view the link right now, but, will I have to get a lift kit? I just want enough sound, to where if someone pulls next to me, I turn mine up and won't hear or feel his, that's all lol
