i have a 07 f150 scab with no carpet, stock everything except the front door speakers. now my question is should i mount my subs under the seat or behind the seats. ive seen a install on here withe the subs behind the seats. but i have a jl 1000 and a kenwood excelon 4ch amp for highs. im not tryin to be heard 17 blocks away, but when i decide to get **** heavy, i wanna be able to crank it. and i will change the head unit like next week.........

you could try looking at your backseat and use a tape measure.

i dont even know where to start on this one, but how many blocks of bass do you want?

Get some sound deadening, err get LOTS of sound deadening, and cover the every square inch of the floor under the vinyl. Yes you will need to pull the seats but it's not that hard to do. You may want to use 2 layers of it plus put some Great Stuff expanding foam in the door pillars. You'll notice a drastic improvement in the quietness of the ride. With that you'll get a bigger boost in both volume and sound quality.

If you have the room behind the back seats I would mount the subs back there. But I don't think you do. I know the regular cabs have plenty of room to do this. I'd just plan on putting a standard box for dual 10/12's under the seat. Plenty of threads already here on the front page talking about this.

this box has the most air space and looks the best in the f150... nice product. i run 10w3v3 in this box.. i like jl products. ive been very satisfied with the w3 series 10". i have 12" in my suv. here is a link to the box http://www.foxacoustics.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=F150%2D210%2D04
also i used fatmat sound deadener. for the climate i live in it hasnt given me any issues as far as falling off. sticks great. of course second skin is better. this stuff works .. its on ebay for a great price
