J l 10's

Ok I posted this in another froum must have been up too late. Anyway has anyone had the oppertunity to run a pair of 10"w0v2 Vs The 10"w1v2 in the spec portion of the web site it says the

10 w1v2 the one way liear excursion is .375 with a mounting depth of 4.34

10w0v2 the one way linear excursion is .45 and the depth is 4.90. I am thinking the depth is lager on this one because of the magnet? rec for sealed box is .65

The box I have will house either one I currently have the 10w1v2. On paper is the 10w0v2 going to give me more noticable bass or should it be so minimal just keep the ones I have. Nothing wrong with the ones I have, they work great. but, depending on the feedback, if it is posative. I may try a pair of the 10w0v2

I dont think it is worth the money, they are pretty similar in output. I switched from the W1 to my Kodas which was more dramatic difference. The w1 has 9mm of throw while the Kodas have XBL^2 motor and 20mm of throw. Much cleaner and certainly louder if I want it to be.

But no, I do not think the difference would be worth the money. Try to listen to some if you get a chance.

The Kodas that you refer to are they for a small box application and how much power do they require. I have never heard of that brand before is there a web site I can go to and see the specs for the Kodas.

The Kodas are no longer in production, but were previously made by Adire Audio. I got lucky and found a pair brand new for sale on a forum classifieds, and they sometimes pop up on Ebay and such. But to answer your question yes they work well in smaller sealed or ported enclosures with about 200-400 watts per driver.

If thats a BNIB box then yes, if not, I wouldn't buy that.
Sone of IncriminatorAudio's Flatline models will work well in small sealed applications. Sundown Audio's E8 drivers will also sound fantastic, and you could probably fit 2-4 depending on your space and budget.

for 30 bucks if it is band new and thats all the money you have to spend on your woofers I would say ok, but if you go to JLaudio.com go under mobile. You can see the specs on the wo that you are loking at. It has a one way linera throw of.34 and needs .75 for a sealed box and 5.375 mounting depth w1v2 linear .375 box vol .625 and a depth of 4.34 the w0v2 linear .45 with a .65 sealed box and depth of 4.90 the other two speakers are way more installer friendly with the premade boxes in the marketplace today for depth and sealed vol for about 60 buck more a piece. Its your call
