Orion Spec Help

I know its a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone could give me insight on specs for an Orion P1004 Sub (from the late 80's i think)

My cousin's girlfriend's dad had it sitting around and wants me to put it into his "new" 06 f350 SuperCrew. I am going to build a custom box, so recommended airspace would be helpful.

Also, I know it is a 1000 watt 10 inch sub. But, i do not know the RMS, so I dont really know what size amp to tell him to look for. The amp he has is a JL 500.5 which puts out only 250w RMS to the Sub Channel, and I'm pretty sure that wont be enough.

Any help on information about this sub would be greatly appreciated!!

Try giving the manufacturer a call. They should have all that stuff in a database or something somewhere.

the date on the p series manual is 2003 and i think the only sub orion had in the 80's was the hcca. did the guy say he's had it since the 80's or was that a guess?

i guess he said he's had it since the 80's. I have not spoken with him directly or seen the sub. this is what my cousin is telling me he said. I do the install tomorrow, so, we will see. Apparently he somehow used to power it with a 600w Kenwood 4ch amp. I am building the box tomorrow, so i guess I'll finally see for myself what the actual model is.

oh ok. one of my friends had some of the NT's back in the mid to late 90's and he said they were awesome. they were 1000 watt max just like the p series and the hcca were 1200 max, so whatever he has it should be loud.
