my take on the jl's had them in an f250 and now a f150. Both were screws the f150 just kicks a$$ tight and low bass in a sealed box. I used the jl 10wiv2 in both truck and the type of box does make a big difference for these subs. the 10w1v2 requires .625 cubic air space. My f250 had .9 cubic vol inside the box but, the box was behind the seat it was tall, wide and very shallow we had to notch the inside of the back of the box so that the magnet would have enough clearence. Unlike the f150 I used subthump box and they say there box volume .64 It hits hard for a sealed box.I can play tech master P.E.B.in the f150 no way in the f250 would flop to me that says alot about the combo subthump and jl. One downside to the subthump box you have to replace the speake terminals to the screw in type. Otherwise you will blow out the ones that they use i wedged them in with a rubber mallet and they still blew out.

i cant tell you on the pr series cause i havnt heard them or installed them but i got two 10" memphis m3's and it sounds alot louder cleaner than when i had the jl w3's in there (same amp/box). dont get me wrong i love jl audio i use to compete back in my highschool years just spl though not sq i had 3 15" w3's. and im still thinking about switching to the jl audio thin line subs. i hear those sound killer. well good luck
