Problems with CVR fitment
I bought a pair of CVR 10's from a neighbor thinking they would be a straight drop in in my fox box...wrong. Surely, after having deeper JL's (W3V3's), it would be smooth. Not.
I go to drop the first one in and it just sits on top of the box, about a 1/4" up. After doing some research I found that the fox box, and virtually every other box on the market has a 9.125" (9 1/8") cutout. The CVR requires 9 1/4". WTF.
So, after a few hours of sanding and using the ol' dremel, I finally got the passenger side one to drop in but the driver's side one had to be convinced a bit.
At higher volumes, the sub on the drivers side vibrating against the sides of the MDF is very audible and it sounds like s***. More sanding is required, it has gotten better with every round I take but it is pissing me off!
Just wanted to vent.
