my box has 2.5 cu/ft

its sizes are (trapezoid)

48" long
7" wide at bottom
5" wide at top
18" tall

I'd say that short port is way way off. I'm having a ported box designed by a pro and the port going to be nearly 26" long and around 6" square. But that's just a guess from the rough design pics he sent me. You might email dylan AT fishercustoms.com

GCW's screenshot could be right but I'm no expert. That's why I emailed Dylan =).

Oh..He does this for a living so he may want a few dollars to figure this out for you.

a smaller port opening needs less port length, but you have more port noise with a small opening.

a port on the side should be fine or you could do a slot port starting at the bottom front and 90 up the back wall to get the rest of your length. (1) 4" port 9.6" long = 33 HZ according to winisd, seems to be the same as what you came up with.
