How about the rears? What are you guys running there? (still learning)
In the rear doors I just have sound deadening, no speakers. Rear speakers pull the sound stage behind you which is no good. This includes midbass drivers...you want everything in front of you for the best imaging. If you want to run dedicated midbass drivers, put them in the front doors. Then put your midranges either in the kicks or on the dash, same with the tweeters (A-pillars are also an option). Just FYI, using a 4 way system like this requires a lot of amplification and processing, its going to cost a decent bit.

Some nice stricty midass drivers are the Peerless SLS6 and the Seas RNX series. Both have massive excursion for such small driver and should hammer away with midbass. Dont be scared that they are 8 ohm drivers, they are relatively efficient and its worth it.

I used a cutting wheel on a dremel to cut the speaker tunnel down. I measured 3/4" from the base around the tunnel and used tape to mark where I needed to cut. I used a block sander and some 220 grit to smooth out the edges. It fits flush with the MDF and doesn't rattle. I'm installing some jimmi jammers this weekend, and can take some pics if that would help.

On the rear doors I'm using the stock hardware. I have my rear speakers turned down a good bit.

OK, thanks guys. I've got it now. Also, now I know what the term "rear fill" means, and it makes perfect sense to me now.

I appreciate all the help.
