Well my little brother is leaving to join the military here in a few days and he has handed over to me a pair of brand new Rockford Fosgate Punch P162C speakers. He was going to put them into his little 99' Escort Sport but he blew it up by running it through a puddle that was a few feet deep (Hydro Locked... ouch).

I am completely new to the whole car speakers thing and am unsure if these would fit in my 97" F150 (Extended Cab.. three door design) or if it would even be worth it. My current stock speakers and "deck" if you can even call it that sounds fine... im not crazy about have $1,500.00 worth of speakers in my truck like my buddy did to his 08' F150.

With the size of these speakers, and the fact that I do not have any sound equipment on the truck that isnt stock, would these fit and work without having to drop more cash into it.. other than maybe a bracket to make them fit. I was hoping to just swap out the stock speakers with these for some added clarity.
