sub system problem..
sub system problem..
I'm lost guys, this is very odd to me so I turn to you knowledgable folks.
The other day my whole entire system (headunit, speakers, speaker amp, subs, and sub amp, etc), it all came back on momentarily, ok no big deal? I never noticed the subs stopped working till today, I check the fuse and its blown. I get another and put it in and go to put the negative back on the battery and it starts to spark and melt the battery terminal post? I undo the sub amp power wire from the postivie acc. post and the neg. goes on no problem (no sparks, melting, etc) so i trace the wire all the way back from battery to amp and found no short. It also blew the fuse in just the time I was messing with the negative.
What the heck could be going on? this only happens when the amp power wire is hooked up. Is it the fuse block, bad wire?... I'm stumped

Its good. I have pretty much run down everything and it appears the amp took a major dump. Still don't know why the whole stereo system would go off then just reboot/come back on like it did. I thought it was a major short somewhere but never found one.
