Wow.. wth is this crap? I'm searching youtube, and pretty much everything I've seen so far sucks pretty hardcore.. lol.. I'm hoping it's my computer audio setup that isn't able to recreate the sounds, or maybe these retards don't know how to setup an audio system..

JL 10w3v3 - You can't really hear anything else but the bass on this setup.. seems like the other audio gets cut out..

I was seriously thinking about throwing a pair of these JL 10"s under my seat with a FoxAcoustics Fox Box.. I've heard good things about the JL 10w3v3, but I wanna know what I have to look forward to.

Originally I was thinking about 2 Rockford Fosgate shallow 10" p3sd210s, but for only about $40 more, I could upgrade to the JL's..

Anywho.. is it just me.. or is this how 2 10"s are supposed to sound? I want a budget SQ bass setup, being that I actually like to listen to the rest of the music.. not just brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrr brrr brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I have about the same problem .. So I used my computer that is hooked up to the 52 inch bigscreen in the den with the audio running into my surround system .. It's a pioneer 7.1 system with bose surround speakers and 2- yamaha 12 inch powered subs.. and most youtube videos on subs sound ok , but if I would have to give the award for the best sounding sub on youtube it would have to be

lol.. FX4_2003 I hope you were being sarcastic.. but thats exactly the kinda sound I'm tryin to stay away from... subwoofer seizure.. ugh... I don't know how people think this kinda stuff is cool.. they should go stick a vibator in their ears or something..

Anywho.. 4X4AUTIGER, why should I go with neither? I've heard good things about both RF and JL.. and their specs match each of those boxes respectively.. Jwool, aside from the ID subs coming with the supercrewsounds box, why else would someone want them?

I'm kinda lost, to be honest.. I go and ask questions caraduio.com forums and other places and all they recommend is hooking up 2000w amps to 300w rms subs or something insane like that.. lol.. I'm sure some of the off market stuff is good, but the majority of it isn't mainstream brands and not all seem to comply to cea-2006 specs from the looks of it..

 

RF is ehhh okay. Jl is alright but way overpriced. I would look into mach5audio I.X.L 10, soundsplinter rli 8, or an ascendant audio assassin 10. These are more SQ based drivers with 5.5" mounting depth and less

But honestly there are alot of subs out there that can get go brrrrrr brrr brrrrr and still sound awesome...

Ding ding ding! winner right here. This is the best sounding setup you can still buy under the seat without a lift. Of course, only because Adire doesn't make the Kodas anymore.

Youtube videos are so incredibly stupid. Every subwoofer playing a bass tone is going to sound exactly the same through a camera mic.

if you want to go any cheaper then get some ed some. ID's are the best for the money hands down. Get you a nice set of used components off of diyma, maybe an saz50.4 to run them, and an amp that will push around 8 to 1,000 watts. Should cost you right around 700 wiring and everything thats assuming you have a head unit.. And we are talking good quality audio equipment not all of this main stream crap that everyone bows down to. I would go subless before running a P3

 

i wouldnt do the RF's. rockfords subs have gone way down hill. the company is having serious money issues and the subs are just going to crap. the faces on them crack really easily. jl stuff is good but as it was said above its way over priced. im a big fan of alpine type R subs. there are tons and tons of great subs out there. spend some time at your local car audio shops and listen to different subs. everyone can recommend stuff to you but only you will be able to determine what sounds best to you.

 

Late reply I was being sarcastic... That video I found on youtube is just stupid.. I get upset when I blow cheap subs I cant imagine spending like 150 or 200 each and blowing one... Hmmm Vibrator in the ears ... We could invent a new type of headphone ... Say BYE BYE to the bose headphones....

 

never judge a sub by it's sound on video. Very few consumer level camcorders mics can reproduce the low range frequencies these subs make. At the very best you might hear the sub clipping or bottoming out but that's not the subs fault but the idiot not tuning the system right.

If I can ever get fishercustoms.com to email me back I might be able to squeeze my BM10 in a ported box under my seat.
