And anyone who thinks a good set of door speakers can give you the same sound as a dedicated sub off of an amp needs to rethink that statement.
well since the needs of my customers werent being met with these i stopped pushing them unless it was truly necessary to sell them....y would i wanna deal with the headaches of customers coming back and not being satisfied with a product that i sold them and having to go through the process of trying to keep them as a loyal customer based on a crappy product.....im allowed to have an opinion on products....this is america.....and as far as door speakers go there are some pretty bassy speakers out that that dont distort at higher levels of volume.....if u match those up with a good 4 channel amp then ur in business.....not to say that the speakers are gonna push out more bass then a separate woofer/amp set up but u can get pretty damn close

No door speaker will get you close to what a sub sounds like. Unless you buy it from walmart and even then. if you want a lil more bass go with rockfords p1s. or if money isnt a problem look in boston acoustics

it seems a lot of people on this forum buy new when it comes to stereo equipment, or atleast they are the only ones who post on here. I know i dont have a lot of posts, but ive been doing stereos for awhile. For $250 bucks you can search craigslist, or even crutchfields open box, scratch/dent section and get a really nice single sub/amp combo, then take the extra money, and buy a new or used box for under your rear seat. I just picked up 2 10" 500w 4ohm pioneer subs for 40 bucks for the pair off craigslist last weekend. Reason? the guys GF didnt want them in her truck, and he didnt know how to remove them. 15 min of removal, i have new subs that hit real nice. jsut takes tiem to shop around. i mean if you have the money, and like all new, then buy all means, buy what you want. if i had the money, i would be buying new too.
