Right on
Yea' that was a VERY cool experience ! Only problem (if you want to call it that) is that I went from never having heard (as I admitted in the video) anything more powerful than my own modest 1000-1200 wt system > straight to one of the biggest, baddest, most powerful car stereo systems on the planet !
So how do I ever top that ?
Well actually, Steve Meade told me he's be getting the Caddy back together soon, and I was totally welcome to come down and check that out before he gave it back to Chicken :-) ....so that would be 1/3 more powerful than his Tahoe....
OR, I can wait until he does the complete rebuild of his Tahoe, which will also bump it up to 30Kwts.... or 1/3 more powerful than his current system.
But geez, that Tahoe is just flat out SCARY loud as it is !
Honestly, I was already thinking that the next time around, I don't care if I look like a puss.... if I wore earplugs, I'd have my hands free for some in-cab video
Not too mention the fact that sitting in a vehicle with an SPL setup like this is SOOO much of a full body experience. It's like having your ears plugged, might protect your ears a little from trauma, but it still seems damn near just as loud.

BTW, I was almost concerned (beforehand) that once I heard Steves crazy setup, I'd never be impressed with my own setup again. But in retrospect, although I would absolutely LOVE to have a vehicle (of whatever type) with a super-over-the-top SPL setup like Steves, for shows, demo's, and just plain $#!+'s and grins.....
I'm actually feeling pretty content with my modest 1000-1200 watt setup in my F150, for long trips, with normal bass level music {or should I say, as a daily driver}. Still hyped about a few upgrades to increase the SQ.... but as far as more bass ??? I dunno'.
But I do wish I could wall my little Hyundai, and put about 4 pro 15"s in there with 8 or 10Kwts
Oh, but I do have to say, Steve Meade is one of the friendliest, humblest guys you would ever be likely to meet. After my 1 visit with him, I felt like we had been friends for years
Peace,
Fish
PS, To say that Steves Tahoe "shakes" would not fully explain it.....The doors, roof, dash, etc, in that Tahoe start to look like Jello when the bass hits ! But then again, I'm not sure how much of that effect comes from your head, and your eyeballs shaking, while your trying to see this stuff
Just rediculous..... But in a fun way
