quick downfire question

i already have my box built for a while now and finally carpeted it last night. one of the subs points down onto the rear seat and i was wondering if there is any special wiring for a "downfire" sub or is it just the way its facing.

thanks

downfiring is just a box turned up side down so the wiring should be the same i presume.

yep wiring is all the same, just make sure there is enough room between the sub and the floor (in your case, the seat) that it won't hit during high excursion.

+1 on the same wiring. The effect you get from a downfiring woofer is really whats beneficial, especially in a truck where acoustics aren't ideal.

Just leave enough room (an inch will do) for them to move during excursion, and crank it up!

Yea I was just making sure the wiring was the same. I've had it built for over a year and for some reason remebered seeing somewhere to flip the positive and negative wires for down fire
