Question Front Door Panel Removal

Hello all,

There is a lot of useful information through out this board!

I just bought some new Panasonic TS-A6865 3-way speakers for my truck along with a DEH-P7200 CD/Receiver. (Never did like the factory "prem." system.) I have installed the revceiver, but can't seem to figure out how to remove the front door panels to put the speakers in. I cannot locate any screws in the panel, and I am afraid of cracking the panel if I just pull on it.

Does anybody have any info. on how to remove the panels on the front doors of a '97 F-150.

Thanks for all of your help.

Felix,
Here you go, this should help you out. After you install them come back on here and tell how they sound. I am looking into a set of these and I want to know how they sound in a truck.

Heya Snake,

I appreciate the response. I have seen this article, but I think the layout of the door panel in the '97 is different. I could be wrong.

The article points out two screws that I can't seem to locate on my doors. Is there a piece of trim that needs to be popped off in order to get to the screws?

Again, I appreciate your help!

I just had the same speakers installed in the front doors of my 97 reg cab and I can say it is a giant step up from the factory speakers.
