Speaker Issues...Help

My front passenger door speaker has recently stopped working, but heres the catch it works when I come to a complete stop, but when I take back off it has bad static and goes out again. I have checked all connections and they are good. Any thoughts ? I'm running Kicker 5.25 components through a kicker 550.3 amp.

Are you using cheap RCA cables? sOmetimes when the cables move around behind the HU the signal comes in and out this happened to me a bunch until I spent the money for quality cable

It sounds like you have a wire grounding out. It could be in the rca's or the speaker wire. Try swapping the rca's from front right to front left. If the problem follows the rca the problem is in the rca. If not then the problem is in the speaker wiring.

Sounds like an rca jack on the back of the unit or rca wire end. It also sounds like it could be a grounding problem, such as a split in the plastic casing that the wire is in, brushing up against something metal. Also check over the amp its self such as fuses and "wobbley" jacks on the back. Hope this helps....

Its not the RCA's, retrace your speaker wires. Make sure there are no crimps/cuts in it (im 99.9% sure thats what it is).

Hey thanks for all you help, turns out it was the RCA cable when I switched the left and right the passenger speaker started working and the driver quit. I may have not given a good description of what was wrong, Im going to replace the speaker wire as well, going to run it from amp directly to the speakers just to make sure, right now it is just spliced into factory at the driver door floorboard. I ordered a knu konceptz rca cable, are they any good ?

I have not tried the knu koncept cables myself, but I have heard they are pretty good for the price. I am glad you got your problem sorted out, thanx for letting us know.
